Random Acts Of Love
These days, it seems that there are people doing random acts of kindness (RAK’s) everywhere I look. I am so glad that this has caught on! The cynical people say that there are no good people out there, and that everyone is only in it for themselves. I find that this could not be further from the truth. When I have a flat tire, someone is there to offer assistance to me. When I truly need assistance from my fellow man/woman someone is always there to assist me. Lately, I have been running into a lot of people who are dealing with family who are sick or fighting some type of dis-ease. Or, they are dealing with this themselves. It seems to be going around. I have lost many friends in the last few years! Luckily, I have listened to my inner voice and told them how I felt about them, and how they had touched my life before they left the planet. In my past, when I did not listen to this voice…I ended up having regrets because I did not tell my loved ones how I felt. A few years ago, when I lost someone dear to me and had not told them how I felt, I vowed that I would not let this happen to me again. That is why I am always telling my friends how much I love and appreciate them. I would like to start a new fad called Random Acts of Love (R.A.L.). We can start by contacting at least one friend, family member, co-worker, doctor, nurse, housekeeper, grocer...or anyone we have contact with…and telling them how they have touched your life. One Random Act of Love a day!!! You can send a letter, make a phone call, leave a phone message, tape a note to their door, put a note in an in-box, or tell them in person. The goal is to do one Random Act of Love a day. When we see and experience people in our everyday life, we do not truly know if we will ever see them again. My challenge to you, is to take the time to let these people know how you feel about them…when you are with them…as much a possible. Soon, you will find out how people love and appreciate you…because they will in turn RAL you right back!! Enjoy spreading your love!
